HP planning on making touchscreen notebook

HP is planning to release a notebook computer with a touchscreen display within the next 18 months. Their TouchSmart series of touchscreen desktops was one of the first on the market and after its success they plan on moving on to notebooks. HD news said They claim that touchscreens have become more popular for nontechnical users. They hope to have their notebook out before 2010 and are said to use a custom interface because Microsoft won’t have their Windows 7 available in time. Windows 7 is said to have touch input as a standard feature. With the popularity of touch screens with cell phones like the Apple iPhone this is sure to be a hit if the price is within reach of most consumers.
