Fencing gear is safe
Fencing is the art and sport of swordplay. Fencing gear is like chess, except you get to use your whole body. Based on the rate of injury, fencing is significantly safer than football,basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, and softball. At high skill levels, fencing is a mental game as well as a physical one, where the fencers are trying to set each other up and trick each other into making mistakes that can be taken advantage of. The goal of sabre fencing is, as in foil fencing, to score touches on the opponent’s valid target area within the context of the right of way.
