Joseph Fielding Smith
Joseph Fielding Smith was born on July 19, 1876. Joseph Fielding Smith was the son of Joseph F. Smith. Joseph Fielding smith was ordained an apostle at 34. Joseph Fielding Smith received quite a bit of criticism for practicing nepotism. According to mormon history, Joseph Fielding Smith’s patriarchal blessing said, “It shall be they duty to sit in council with thy brethren and to preside among the people”. Smith became president of the church on January 23, 1970. Joseph Fielding Smith organized all the church magazines into three main magazines. On July 2nd 1972, Joseph Fielding Smith passed away, after serving as President of the Church for only two years.
