Don’t Forget The Toast
Speaking in public can make anyone really nervous. They may stumble over their words and even forget what point they were trying to make. The person giving the maid of honor speech wants to make sure that they do not forget the toast at the end. You can say whatever you like during the speech as long as you don’t forget to give the new couple your blessing and raise your glass. This is the traditional way to end your speech and signals to everybody to join in. It also helps the maid of honor bow out of the speech gracefully.
