Not just in hospitals — they’re everywhere
Don’t be mistaken: health care jobs are everywhere — not just in hospitals. There are many different venues where people can be employed in the healthcare industry: in doctor’s offices, nonprofit community clinics, and nursing homes come to mind. We need school nurses throughout the country, medical professionals to assist in various assisted living facilities — children’s clinics, cancer treatment centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers — all of these facilities require knowledgeable, trained healthcare professionals. So if you are interested in this field, but shied away from it because you didn’t want to work in a hospital, remember that your career choices are almost limitless!
