Penny stocks means the stock is selling for less than $5. penny stocks are not the kind of blue chips a conservative broker might advise you to add to your investment portfolio. A single share of Google trades for more than $500 on the NASDAQ, while the prices of the stocks I bought started at 8 cents and didn’t exceed $2.75. That being said, there is still plenty of room to make profit with penny stocks!
